Robert was an intern at BR legal during his GDLP prior to commencing employment at the firm’s Adelaide office in 2016. In 2017 he travelled to Europe for 18 months where he was able to gain valuable experience assisting asylum seekers on Aegean Islands in Greece. He currently works two days per week at the Adelaide office and became a Registered Migration Agent in 2019.

Robert provides assistance across a broad range of migration matters but is heavily involved in preparing family and humanitarian visas.

Robert is responsible for coordinating with the Australian Refugee Association, where he also works, to file and monitor all Community Supported Program (CSP) applications that our firm has helped prepare.

Aside from helping with our caseload of visa applications, Robert also assists with some of our Wills & Estates matters.


Robert has a Bachelor of Laws and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice. He also graduated from the University of Adelaide with a Bachelor of International Studies and a Diploma in Languages, majoring in German studies. He currently holds a practicing certificate and is a qualified Migration Agent.

Life before joining BR Legal and Migration

Before joining BR legal back in 2016, Robert was heavily involved in the Community Legal Sector, completing internships at JusticeNet SA and the Legal Services Commission of South Australia as well as several other grassroots organisations. He previously volunteered with the Australian Refugee Association and fundraised for beyondblue

Life outside of Beena Rezaee

Robert loves learning languages and about other cultures. After more than a decade of trying to master German he has now turned his attention to learning Spanish with mixed results.

During his downtime he enjoys travelling, playing squash and discovering more of Adelaide’s hidden walking trails and culinary delights.
