Patricia Rushton

Lawyer & Practice Manager

Patricia combines practice management and work as a lawyer, assisting our clients with family law matters and appeals to the AAT and SACAT. Patricia is currently studying towards a PhD in the area of migration law, sovereignty and globalisation. Patricia works from our Adelaide office, but can service clients Australia-wide.

Patricia sometimes provides information sessions on family violence and family law in Australia, touching on the intersection between this and migration law.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Laws and Legal Practice (Honours) from Flinders University
  • Bachelor of Arts
  • Diploma in Education
  • Graduate diploma in Reading and Language Education
Life before joining Beena Rezaee Legal & Migration

Before studying law and joining Beena Rezaee Legal & Migration in 2019, Patricia held leadership roles as a senior executive in the Australian Public Service, was the inaugural General Manager of The Smith Family in the Northern Territory and later consulted to government and the private sector in areas such as policy and program management, strategic and business planning and performance management.

Life outside of Beena Rezaee Legal & Migration

Patricia enjoys kayaking and running with her family and her poodles. She is also a volunteer convener of the Blackwood and Hills Circle of Friends for Refugees.
